Microbiological water sampling can be a crucial part of any Legionella control scheme.
Routine testing isn’t always necessary as water supplied to a building should be safe to drink.
Microbiological water sampling can be a crucial part of any Legionella control scheme.
Routine testing isn’t always necessary as water supplied to a building should be safe to drink.
However, it is typically needed where there is potential for micro-organisms to grow in hot and cold water systems. This could include where drinking water is stored, correct temperatures are not constantly achieved, and where a Legionella outbreak is suspected.
The most common samples are taken to test water quality and search for the presence of Legionella bacteria TVC, E. coli, Coliforms and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.
Our highly-qualified engineers attend sites and determine sample quantities, types and locations and send them to a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited laboratory for analysis.
Sample results, their impact, and any further actions are always fully explained.
We can also carry out sampling services at private drinking water supplies (boreholes), rainwater harvesting systems, swimming pools & spa pool waters, and closed systems.
